Has anyone dealt with complications regarding cloth diapers and hospitals? My sister just had her first baby and the hospital refused to allow her to bring in her own cloth diapers. Actually, it was the nurse. They told her it was not standard practice and that it wasn't as sanitary and they prefer she use disposables. I thought this was a bit odd, so I'm asking around to see if anyone else had these issues. This was at an Indiana hospital btw.

At our hospital here (in Seattle), it's the opposite. They use cloth diapers for all babies. They have tiny prefolds and covers and that's all they use. If you want to use disposable, you have to bring your own.
That's awesome. I'm from "the heartland" and they are not nearly that forward-thinking.
That would be amazing! I wish more hospitals were like that. They have the ability to wash them, heck they are washing all kinds of nasty stuff!
