Well just found out I'm going to have a baby! I'm due in January and I still have quite a ways to go but I am very seriously considering cloth diapers. I didn't do that with my 3 year old and very deeply regret it. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips or support? Feel free to comment or add me! I'm also looking for any other communities on here as well!!

Congratulations! I wanted to try cloth with my second, but allowed the skeptics to rule my decision. I now have numbers three and four in cloth (17 months apart). I admit to "cheating" a bit. We use disposables for traveling, babysitters and night time. I also sometimes switch to sposies for a while while my toddler teethes because he has (grody info alert) up to 8 poopy diapers a day and I get tired of dunking the soiled diapers. Otherwise, I'm happy I made the change.

I started with prefolds and covers, then fell in love with bamboo velour and Goodmama fitteds. With two in diapers I have found that ease of use is my primary need right now and I have made a shift to the Bumgenius 3.0 one size fits all pocket diapers. They are the first diapers I reach for and I usually make an excuse to wash diapers as soon as I use he last one. They also fit tiny babies really well (7 pounds and up).

My best advice is to check out a site like hyenacart.com, go to the "Spot's Corner" and check out used diapers. I have found great deals and been able to check out many types and brands of diapers. The best part, diapers can be resold!
